Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.chromoflux.ch.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data displayed in the comment form as well as the IP address and the user agent string of the visitor’s browser in order to facilitate spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. You can find the Gravatar service’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract all location data from the images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our website, you can consent to the storage of your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to enter your details again if you leave another comment. These cookies are valid for one year.

When you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also create several cookies to store your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies are retained for two days, cookies for screen options for one year. If you select “Stay logged in”, your login will remain active for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data, but only shows the post ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

The articles on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking features, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

With whom we share your data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long do we store your data?

When you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are saved indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal data they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (only their user name cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights you have with regard to your data

If you have an account on this website or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete the personal data stored about you. This does not apply to data that we must retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where your data is sent

Visitors’ comments can be checked by an automatic spam detection service.
